Some Big News To Share With You

Some Big News To Share With You

Hey there,
Good morning and happy Sunday to you,

I’m extremely grateful for this Thanksgiving holiday. I had the most relaxed, blessed time with my family and friends and I hope you did as well.

So I’ve been around a lot of birthdays lately and two things I’ve noticed:
One, when it’s your birthday you feel very special.
And two, the day after your birthday is a big letdown.

In fact, the difference between the two days is quite something isn’t it?

When it’s our birthday we feel “extra special.” It feels like the entire universe is paying attention to us and that we truly are significant. We feel that we are loved and recognized and that others cherish our existence. If we have a party we get lots of gifts and cards. When we read the cards people say that they are happy we are on this earth.

It’s no wonder we feel that our life is truly blessed when it’s our birthday.

It’s also no wonder why the next day is a big letdown. We go from feeling incredibly special and elevated to “just another day.”

But it’s not the “next day’s fault” we don’t feel as special. Nothing really changed except our attitude about the day.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could feel like we do on our birthdays everyday?

After all, aren’t we still loved and cherished by those close to us?

Aren’t they still thrilled we were born and a part of their lives?

Aren’t we still worthwhile and special?

The truth is the only thing that’s changed is our attitude and if that IS true then I say we change our attitude again and choose to go back to how we feel when it’s “our day.”

JOIN ME

I’m going to do my very best to wake up every day with the same excitement and “specialness” I feel on my birthday. In fact, I’m going to see how many days in a row I can actually do it.

I hope you’ll join me.
Happy birthday to me.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday to us.

See if you can do it for just one day starting tomorrow.

SOME NEWS TO SHARE

I have a tremendous amount of travel over the next few months and that combined with two projects I’m working on, I’m spread quite thin so this is going to be my last newsletter for awhile.

Maybe even for good.

I’m not sure yet.

But after a year and half of spending every Sunday morning with you it’s time for a little break.

If this turns out to be my last newsletter and not just a break then I will send a proper “goodbye” but for now, I’m keeping the door open and we’ll see what unfolds.
And I’ll be in touch soon. In fact I already have your Christmas present picked out for you so be watching for that :)!

Until then, keep marching towards your dreams – no matter what anyone says. I’m living proof our wildest dreams can come true but the key is to keep getting as healthy as possible so you can be as fearless and resilient as possible.

Dreams can be scary at times and it’s those “times” that most dreamers fold.

Don’t fold.

This world needs you.

Now more than ever.

I believe in you.

And happy HAPPY birthday to us!

My love and very best,
Jim
